Dine Downtown is one of our favorite January activities, proof here. Every year, Downtown Sac makes our foodie dreams come true with Dine Downtown, a dining experience that gives locals the opportunity to enjoy meals from some of Sacramento’s best restaurants at a fraction of the normal cost. One needs a damn good reason to indulge in a 3-course meal (or a series of 3-course meals, let’s be real) just after the holidays. Dining at Ella for $35 is validation enough–we’re in. So when our friends at Downtown Sac asked us to preview some of this year’s menus, we didn’t hesitate.

We cling to Skool on K as one of the few quality seafood restaurants we have in Sacramento, and when it comes to seafood, quality is essential. Their take on Japanese-fusion is adventurous and refreshing. This is Skool’s first year participating in Dine Downtown and Chef Moto’s menu makes them look like anything but newcomers. This was our favorite menu of the preview train and we can’t wait to stop by during Dine Downtown to enjoy it again while it’s still here.
